The Cornlot is more than a backyard ballfield—it's a place built on friendship, family, and a love for the game.
Inspired by the iconic Field of Dreams in Dyersville, Iowa, The Cornlot began as a simple dream after a visit to the legendary field in 2019. What started as a pickup game with friends in a small back acre grew into something much bigger: a community gathering place where kids, families, and baseball lovers can create memories together.
Since 2021, The Cornlot has continued to evolve through the help of friends, neighbors, and volunteers. From relocating and restoring a donated backstop to planting rows of corn around the outfield, every improvement has been fueled by a shared passion for baseball and community. What began with a few plastic bats and balls has grown into a unique field where neighborhood kids can experience the magic of hitting a home run into the corn.
At its heart, The Cornlot is about bringing people together. It's a place to have a catch, play a game, share a laugh, and enjoy the simple joy that baseball brings. Whether you're stepping onto the field for the first time or returning for another season, you're always welcome here.
